I think they were like hour long episodes. Did one on just about anybody who was ever anybody. Little mini-biopics. I'm guessing that's where I picked it up...lol....

Leonard Skinner was the coach. He strictly enforced school rules on hair length, angering some of his former students who comprised the band, Lynyrd Skynyrd. The band's name implied some tongue-in-cheek homage to the coach, modified enough to avoid having to pay him royalties.
