I had a female friend who was in school during that time. Very few men came back and many of them had alcohol problems, etc. Tough for the women to find a decent man their age. Church; (Orthodoxy), the Clergy are taught to hear Military Confessions; 'differently'. Meaning fighting/killing is well beyond unNatural. Worst of the worst. (i.e., Humans are not made for that... and it really daunting to unmake that Soul...)
