It's a group game where you take words like this (or sometimes weird movie titles or names of people) and have to make up a definition/plot/bio to try to fool the others. Then everyone tries to guess from all the fakes (plus the real answer) which is correct.

thought I'd heard it in some really old movie as a funny thing old people say like grandma in the Beverly Hillbillies, but I'm never going to pull that one in.
Maybe snickersnee in a similar type quiz, but no clue.
