Are any of you geeks lawn freaks?
If so, let’s see some pics!! It’s slow season and I’m just curious who is a fellow grass and lawn geek like me? I’ll go first. Y’all have a great weekend. Bama

Bah. In a 100 years, people will wonder why we wasted water on lawns!!
Kidding, JUST KIDDING. lol. Just laughing a bit at the idea of your eyes bugging out as you go to respond as you did toward the guy on the Subscriber Board.

My grass is evolving and is amazing compared to when I bought the house
The pool was surrounded by a 6' white PVC Slat fence that was about 5' from the pool deck, the area between the pool deck and the fence was pea gravel, or I should say weeds in pea gravel. The pool was a mud pit with a torn liner and hadn't been used in 3 years. What little grass there was was a mix of crabgrass and bermuda. I have over seeded it with fescue and gotten rid of most of the weeds, in the summer, the fescue goes dormant from the heat, but the Bermuda keeps it looking OK, in the winter when the golf course and everyone else's yards are brown, I have a nice green lawn. and @kjhokie I am the same way, the cover comes off the pool in late March and will be crystal clear until Nov when the cover goes back on. Too cold to swim in March, most of April, Oct and Nov, but the water is clear and Petey the robot keeps the bottom clean.

My grass would give you night sweats...my freak is clear pool water....
The greatest thing on planet earth is 100% crystal clear water...and basically the only thing I can control.... Your lawn is freaking gorgeous...this coming from a golf course maintenance worker paid minimum wage at the time (high school job).

I’m in coastal Alabama…
It’s a Zoysia strain called Palisades… It’s the proprietary strain of a local farming family. Good friends of ours. Great family. Bama ** Edited by bamahokie1 at 6/8/2024, 1:42:58 PM

Cool! I have had zoysia lawns in central nc for years. Used to mow my front
Lawn with a reel mower and all the neighbor kids came to play on it cause it was like plush carpet. Struggling now that I live at beach to recreate even a decent semblance!

Mine looked pretty goo till a big frikking deer figured out how to get over
my fence. Sum***** bush-hogged the whole dang thing. Working on deterrence and recovery. Still managed 5 broccoli heads ( more OTW), 3 heads of romaine, mess of snow peas and sugar snaps, and pint of blackberries yesterday!

30lb clear fishing line around the perimeter at different heights
You can also zig-zag the line through the interior and the play Tom Cruise in MI when searching for produce.

Mines about a week ago, maters are twice as high and cucts are top of cage
I put the fence up from scavenged fence from work when they replaced it. Haven’t had a deer penetrate my defenses yet
