2024, a cellular outage caused some to visit 1995 and they damn near lost their simple minds.
The horror of such a situation is unimaginable.

In addition to the cyber attacks, they'll have actual sabotage with those thousands of "military aged" CHICOM men who have walked across our southern border these last few years. You're going to see real damage once they set their plans into action...and that will be all across the US.

recently moved. I was on the golf course & at the club most all day, so never even noticed...BUT, what would happen at home if we had an emergency and no cell phone service to call 911 or something?
I thought about that when I heard it on the news this morning before leaving for the course. It sort of gave me 'pause" to think about

Unless it would've been to call 911 to report an emergency - that their cell phone wasn't working.

with the landline than without. Ou here, t is Xfinity and they don't care.
Thing is, we are getting older and some day may need 911...I'll just have to count on cell outages being few and far between. We had no service problems today at my house according to my wife

Even kept the same number having changed from Bell Atlantic to Verizon to Cox and then moving from Bayside to Kempsville.

I'm assuming a modern landline network is controlled by equipment that is connected to the internet, but I'm pretty much clueless about how that stuff works.

If your "landline" is through your cable company, it is voice over IP (VOIP) and is susceptible to internet, but not cellular, outages
If you still have an old school. telephony landline, that may be isolated from the internet and cellular networks
