My best endorsement of Green's is that I know several guys that go there on the company card when they could easily spent whatever they wanted at anyplace else in Blacksburg.

and, good memory, my son is a freshman, and he's also in engineering. He enjoyed his first semester, and he's doing well. He was born and raised in Blacksburg, so VT was already "home" for him. He's living on campus, and while we met him 2-3 times for lunch and dinner (and I randomly ran into him "in the wild" on campus a few times - that was a trip), he didn't come home until Thanksgiving. So even though VT is closer to home than Blacksburg High School, I think he feels like he "went away" to college. He's got several friends from BHS that are also at VT, but he got a non-BHS roommate intentionally, and he's made a bunch of new friends. Hope your daughter is also enjoying VT and Blacksburg.
