50 YO dudes don’t need gifts. Awesome thought as a parent though.

Looks like you’re actually questioning that you should?

Gin and hookers?
Maybe a Mac?

Clark, that's the gift that keeps on giving all year.

I did for a while
It was hit or miss - depends on why you want to belong... If you are looking for a monthly supply of just beer styles you like - spend he effort and find (or make) a few and let that be your source... If you like trying new things - even if they don't all turn out well - it can be a lot of fun - and I tasted some really good beer that I never would have bought on my own. I stopped because my kids graduated college and aren't home as often - with my home brew habit it ended up being more than I needed to drink - plus I can no longer pawn the bad ones off on them....

My daughter just got me a BeerDrop subscription. Got my first “drop” last
week. Pretty nice and got to select types of beers I prefer.

Sounds like a viable option
Thank you

Sounds like a great way to get mainly crappy beer shipped to you
Perhaps a few decent ones if you are lucky, but I'm betting most will be lousy. I would not get that unless your son likes a bit of adventure and mystery and won't be upset with liking 1 of 10.

What I found is I got beers not available in Virginia. Which was nice.
And beerdrop lets you select the types of beers you prefer. I got 10 beers. 2 of each.

Yeah, the couple of times I did Beer Drop or similar, I liked just about
all of the beers. Definitely some real losers in the boxes, but mostly decent. I don't remember the name of the other outfit I tried. Like you said. I picked the styles I liked, and it worked out well.

hey...that's what I said, only meaner...🤣

Ehh...Most beer drinkers have a style or styles they like...
as well as styles they don't link. Unless your son really loves just about every kind of beer, chances are any "club" will send him several things he'll hate. It's one of those gifts that are a nice thought, but ultimately not a great gift, IMO. Other's mileage may vary...

Good point....keep the IPAs away from me!
Even though that's half the offerings in the summertime

More like 3/4 of the offerings in the summer.
There are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many IPAs on the market at the expense of other beer types. I'll buy IPAs when they no longer dominate the market.
