So you think Russia is sentencing everyone found with a small amount of

pot/hash to long prison sentences? No f'in way. Maybe if she did it in Saudi you have a small to stand on. But probably half of the kids in Moscow are high at any given time. again you miss the point- it is selective and political. Dont let your distaste for the defendant color what is an injustice. you are comparing UK jurisprudence with its real laws and real systems to one without either. Agreed she should have been purer than Caesar's wife but that doesnt excuse things- the Russians were going to get an American. Russia could pick YOU or ME off the corner doing nothing wrong , throw us in jail, make spurious charges, and convict you. So it really has little to do with respecting ones cultures or "laws" .
