Recently two of our female GenZ employees were talking about tattoos. One asked if I had any, and before I could reply, the other said "you're too old to have tattoos, I guess," My response: "At least I'm not paying $1000 a month on student loans." But back to the tattoos.....many if not most of my peers in their 50s now have them, so they are commonplace across all age groups. My VP who is 64 has several. Of course a lot of the people I work with are prior military or agency people. So we were supporting an exercise at Ft Story involving Navy Special Warfare, and one of our young guys has a full arm sleeve. We were talking about what to wear (this was an exercise on the beach literally in a tent - we emphasized this and told the Gen Z women to dress appropriately, and they showed up in skirts, which the sailors LOVED). He asked if he needed to wear long sleeves to cover his arm. We had to inform him that just about everyone in that exercise was going to be tatted nearly head to toe.
