near the university - but no more so than any small/average size city. There difference is the campus is very nice - right beside some of those areas. You don't go to HP for what else is in the area, but like anyplace, if you look hard enough there are interesting things. The HP president is a fundraiser extraordinaire. They freely admit they are a "life skills" institution - not heavy research or stereotypical academia. They admit their impressive facilities are partly to ensure their students are comfortable in high end/ritzy settings, although that also matches the upbringing many of them had - and the cost confirms that. ** Edited by RTFC at 5/25/2026, 12:24:53 PM
