I think the issue is theirs is a '25 and the one in NC is a '24. Salesman

told me there were more eligible discounts on the 24s since they wanted to get them off the lot for the 25s coming in. He was able to get about 10 grand off the 24 model msrp, but only about 5 grand off the 25 model. The 24 model had a $6,000 rebate (off of the listed price of $58,000) but the 25 model only had a $2500 rebate (off the listed price of $66,000).

I actually flew out to an Iowa dealership a couple of years ago to purchase

I talked to shelor and my sales person said they work with that dealer

It's unlikely they will give you as good of a deal on a truck they have to
TravelingHokie 01/29/25 09:41 PM ET
Good to know. That's why I wanted to find a 24 that was the same as the 25

Based on the links you provided, it looks like

I would, if not for the tiny back seats.**

…I’d give them away but my wife won’t let me**

My advice: buy the one with the fewest bells and whistles.
MP4VT2004 01/29/25 07:31 PM ET
But with the biggest V8. :)**
EDGEMAN 01/29/25 07:36 PM ET
Does any 2024 or newer truck come with a V8?**
MP4VT2004 01/29/25 08:10 PM ET
Yes, Chevy and GMC both do.
vthokieq 01/29/25 08:34 PM ET
Good to know. It's a shame GM's transmissions are so soft these days.
MP4VT2004 01/29/25 08:46 PM ET
Even their Allison transmissions?
EDGEMAN 01/30/25 04:44 AM ET
I’ve owned two Silverados and didn’t have an issue
vthokieq 01/29/25 08:50 PM ET
What years? Seems like it's a more modern problem.**
MP4VT2004 01/29/25 08:52 PM ET
Last one I owned was a ‘17 or ‘18…:don’t remember.
vthokieq 01/29/25 09:14 PM ET
Probably not. If Dodge dropped their Hemis, you know everyone else...
EDGEMAN 01/29/25 08:13 PM ET
Yeah, that's what I thought I had heard.

I take it you won't be a fan of the 3.5L Hybrid engine. **
HokieGator 01/29/25 08:08 PM ET
Here's the two trucks for reference.

and here's the other one.
