The womens team definitely had a first movers advantage

Even though there was a true discrepancy in what was invested in the women's v. Men's team the amount invested in women's was still much more then what was invested around the globe. Over the last 6ish years that has evened out so we're seeing that equalize. This all makes sense and it'll likely be like the men's now where there's 4-6 teams that could take it, instead of one (maybe two). Very similar to Olympics basketball.
