Good for you! When I worked, I constantly fought to cut the number of ->

slides in customer presentations . I told my team to think of themselves...What did they think when they went into a meeting and the ppt went up. MY first thought was always, how MANY of these slides are we going to have to sit through. You are correct..a ppt slide is to SUPPORT what you are telling the customer...NOT tell your story for you!!
