I see a lot of that at my job. Worse, actually. For a big proposal

presentation, a ppt deck of over 200 slides was put together to fully explain and present our solution to the customer, but it was deemed to be too much by sales (correctly so) and was whittled down to about 25 slides plus another file as the appendix. Whittling it down to the final version took a few hours with 8 or so people on the phone. It was ridiculous. It's not so much powerpoint, it's the whole concept of group editing ANYTHING. Someone who is knowledgeable on the topic does the first draft. An expert does the edit. The REALLY GOOD Expert finalizes it and you're done. Sometimes skip one of those steps.
