I was kicking around creating a PowerPoint Engineer Cert program
I have seen so many useless charts created over 35 years......architectures, DODAF views, tables, diagrams, you name it. When I started my current position, we had a customer-approved 42 slide initial engagement slide deck that we bludgeoned potential adopters with, and we were not allowed to discuss anything not on the slides. It was brutal. The best organization I ever worked for was highly PPT averse. Our Program Management Reviews consisted of briefing a single quad chart per program. It was awesome.
That said, I will admit to using a brutally long PPT presentation at my dissertation defense because I hoped it would bludgeon my committee into submission, and it did. When my Committee Chair yawned, I knew I was passing.
