Replaced ours a few months ago.

Flexible hoses with shark bites. Used the tweezers not those piece of crap c-clip tools for the rings on the old copper pipe. Hooked up a garden hose to drain the old one ... took a while. I guess that we let it silt up too much. Oh well. We had electric tank and replaced with the same. Great price as DIY from a local plumbing house. Just get same voltage and phase. Easy, imho. Lowes would have charged us 4x more. Worth the experience, imho. I will certainly replace again if this one ever kicks the bucket. That water is sooo hot now. 👍👍

My LP tankless is mounted on an exterior wall - no venting required. Also,
