My LP tankless is mounted on an exterior wall - no venting required. Also,

LP company deducted cost of equivalent electric tank to reduce installation cost. Depending on your water quality, annual cleaning may not be needed. It's been 15 years since my last cleaning (I have a whole house water filtering system). I have it set at 130 degrees and never run out of hot water, no matter how simultaneous users. I'll never voluntarily go back to a tank type heater.
