I have this electric pellet smoker. It's a great middle of the road smoker.

Some things I've learned... 1. I'm not a professional.. so I don't need a professional level smoker. 2. I started years ago with a cheap wood chip smoker that had a dial used to set the temp, but did not regulate its temperature. I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to get the Temp right. So get one that has a digital temperature regulator. 3. I rarely have to feed groups of 20 or 30 (and one pork butt can feed plenty)... So why would I need a huge smoker that fits 10 pork butts? Get one big enough for what you need. The one l linked is what I use and it can fit more than enough to feed 20 people. 4. If I haven't said it, pellet smokers are soooo easy. Fill up the back with pellets, set your temp, put the food it.... And that's pretty much it. I can fill up the hopper on the back and it can last all summer if I smoke something once a week or so. 5. I've tasted things smoked from all different types of smokers, and, unless it's done on a cheap smoker and they don't follow directions (like use too much smoke or cook at the wrong temp/done temp) then you really can't tell a difference in taste. So don't feel like you have to get a special name brand smoker that costs a crap ton of cash for amazing flavor.

You need to babysit charcoal to make sure the temperature stays consistent

Once you get the hang of it, charcoal ones don’t need babysitting.
