CO front range if I could afford it

Spent a month in Longmont/Boulder a decade back and absolutely loved it. But even making 6 figures, it's expensive to live there. According to the locals, the area became overrun with California escapees who were used to even higher real estate prices and would pay whatever anyone asked, making the market about as bad as CA is. Instead I will probably retire to either Georgia or Uruguay.
