I get it but the rules are what they are and ND has used its clout to stay out of a conference. This time it bit them in the back side. They likely win the ACCCG if they replace either UVA or Duke.

Heck it should even question why the SEC Championship Game paired the #1 ranked SEC team vs. #5 ranked SEC team. It should even question why the Committee allowed Bama to make the field after laying an ostrich egg in the SECCG. ND cannot have any beef with 2 G champs in the field because it is 1 of 11 co-owners of the organization that runs the FBS Playoff which UNANIMOUSLY agreed to the rule that the 5 highest ranked conference champions receive automatic bids to the FBS Playoffs. ND made its bed when it agreed to implement the rule, now it has to lay in it. If ND wants to change the rule, then it can get unanimous consent to repeal it. It is that simple.

The playoff rules is a SEC/ND creation, thus why the SEC decided to vent at the ACC who is completely blameless for them being left out.
