Fletcher Westphal OL from Leesburg, VA, currently at Florida. Maybe the SEC is not looking so great to him anymore, and he would like playing at VT under Franklin. During his recruitment, he only had a few SEC blue bloods on his list, plus Clemson.

Watched Burgeron’s film and he’s impressive. Big kid. Strong and accurate arm. Mobile enough albeit not a burner. Quite frankly, an upgrade on ANY known quantity on the current roster in the skills department assuming he can adjust to the speed of the college game.

Both are 4 star in their ranking and have nearly identical size.

He already committed, but, absent Franklin, he might have bolted; Cole Bergeron, 4 star QB, was at the Miami game I read just to meet JF (pretty sure 247 reported). Sounded like he’s still in.
