the next 5 years. BEST HIRE if he can get us to national prominence. Top recruiting and strong NILs will be important part of his success. Can't be average/mediocre at $8.2 mil/year total $41.75 million, with $15.5 mil assistant coaches salary pool. Minimum 10 wins a year, win ACC championships, big bowl games, and get to playoffs. All this is possible with big investment VT made when we hired him.

ESPN extended their right to keep ACC teams poor until 2036; a no brainer. IF JF is successful, might it open some pathways?

I think we are past the realignment discussions being a pure 100% football oriented decision. That was the first true round for B10/SEC.
The reality is if uva/VT moved to either conference, they are still 6-6 teams at best given the past 5 years. I see both teams as fighting to get to a Miss St type position. Playing for bowl eligibility in your last game against a top 10 team. JF maybe moves the ceiling to 8 wins in a P2 conference? But even then, what is the point for either conference wanting that.
I think we have reached a point where it is more likely the acc experiences a revival than the chance that one of uva/vt ends up in B10/SEC.

...although the potential is there.

Otherwise the potential is non-existent IMO

There remains the dissolution clause solution, but that’s a pretty high bar.

Missed the key phrase. I view success as 10 win in the ACC in the 3-year horizon. Hard to imagine that not being a variable.
I’d prefer the continued ACC landscape if there were a little more money parity.
Congrats on the season.

for the 2nd time in 21 years would have been a good start to this ACC revival.
