Size, strength, speed, athleticism, intensity, execution, everything just looks like "club level".
Fails the eye test everywhere.

However, I don't know that it wasn't foolish to think a 1st year HC would have the bona fides to take on this task. It would have been a bit of a dice roll handing a healthy program over, much less one in serious distress.
VT needs a tough, grizzled, veteran to come in and do this tear down.
Pry is in WAY over his head imo.
