I disagree and I use your argument against you.

I disagree with your assertion that I cannot accurately evaluate the players because they play against different competition. I would apply that same reasoning to high school recruits who play in different districts all across the nation against varying levels of competition. My analysis is not based solely on statistical production; I also consider the number of starts, number of snap AND NFL success. My analysis is certainly flawed but it's FREE. My analysis is also simpler in that I am trying to determine if they eventually contributed at a respectable program. I'm not assigning a number value to every recruit since that's too complicated and laborious. I'm not counting monster seasons at Slippery Rock, Towson State or Directional State Teachers College. Kelvin Gilliam became a contributor by transferring to a defense that suited his talents. Tech didn't have as many defensive tackles so he found more playing time. Gilliam may have gotten more reps if he stayed at OU and I would have labeled him a contributor. My analysis shows that TWENTY-ONE three star and below players were contributors in the P2 so it's incorrect to state that VA players cannot compete in the P2. I've listed the players below. 2012 3 star Tyrell Chavis and 3 star Derek Dowrey 2013 3 star Daesean Hamilton 2014 3 star Wilton Speight, 3 star Trace McSorley and 2 star Cole Herdman 2015 3 star Felton Davis 2016 3 star Kyree Campbell, 3 star Jalen Elliott and 3 star K'Von Wallace plus 2 star Andrew Vastardis 2017 3 star Chris Pierce, 2 star EJ Jenkins, 2 star Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey 2018 3 star Chris Collins, 3 star Billy Kemp 2019 3 star Jakai Moore, 3 star Cameron Allen, 3 star E.J. Horton, 2 star Dequece Carter, NR Antwane Wells I saw Ali Jennings play multiple times and the guy is an outstanding player. Anybody who doubts Ali Jennings' talents has a low football IQ. Jennings contributed greatly as a frosh at WVU but he was battling injuries his sophomore year. The big problem at Tech for Jennings was that the QB couldn't deliver the ball AND his coaches were mostly incompetent. I linked Ali Jennings' 2024 VT highlights from Youtube below. ** Edited by Flanker at 5/27/2026, 4:46:04 PM

Without controlling for competition I don’t think you can draw conclusions
