I don't think anybody can predict the future at this point...

Rev share, and NIL is a rapidly evolving model, and we don't know how its going to ultimately play out. It's the wild west right now, and it could get wilder, or it could become more regulated. Right now, I am seeing evidence of traditional 2nd tier teams like Indiana, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss being able to elevate their talent to places it hasn't been before. We're potentially witnessing that right here at VT in real time. Utah of all places, just signed a private equity deal that will drop hundreds of millions into their coffers. In a few years we may well see a P2 football environment, and who knows how that money will be split. At the end of the day though, one truth remains, an athlete's motivation to pick school A over school B is no longer just about prestige and tradition, it can be now be legally purchased, where before it could not be. Who cares what color you're wearing when a kid with sub-NFL talent can make more money in one season than his parents did in their entire lives. ** Edited by Techsupport at 1/7/2026, 9:17:57 AM

Interesting. I'll have to ponder that one. Timing seems to coincide. **
