I think the ACC/Big 12 tie-breakers are more of a smart move...

Yes, but it isn't until 7th, 8th, 9th, or 10th in the pecking order.
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 01:24 PM ET
IMO it should be high on the tiebreakers list**
MaryWashGrad 12/11/25 03:13 PM ET
Why when it is purely subjective and the ones higher on the list are
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 03:15 PM ET
Conf is too big so some tiebreakers based on insufficient & inadequate data
MaryWashGrad 12/11/25 04:36 PM ET
Okay for discussion sake let's say the ACC adopts your proposal. How will
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 04:48 PM ET
Seems a little unrealistic & bent to your side of discussion doesn't it?
MaryWashGrad 12/11/25 04:59 PM ET
VT and Clemson would be undefeated in common opponents though because their

I guess I haven't reached your syndical level yet about committee
MaryWashGrad 12/11/25 05:34 PM ET
The Big XII showed the world why you don't want to do what you are
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 06:37 PM ET
I disagree. Very possible that if UVA had gotten in then Miami would have
AbsolutVT03 12/11/25 12:01 PM ET
Probably right. UVA would have replaced JMU
hokiedad25 12/11/25 12:35 PM ET
I wonder if the Big XII wishes BYU had not played in the CCG because
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 12:22 PM ET
It feels like whether it’s better or worse to play in and lose a conference
AbsolutVT03 12/11/25 12:46 PM ET
It’s not arbitrary, SEC AND BIG, created this to take 67% of tv $ 4 them…
HoakieBS 12/11/25 03:31 PM ET
It's all about the money
hokiedad25 12/11/25 12:28 PM ET
From what I understand a conference gets $4 million just from having a team
AbsolutVT03 12/11/25 12:50 PM ET
They want their cake and eat it too. Besides, the money from that game may
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 12:45 PM ET
Except ESPN had started painted the narrative that the ACC was probably
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 11:51 AM ET
If anything, ND should be angry that Bama got in over them
Jethro Tull 12/11/25 02:34 PM ET
Logically you are right Notre Dame should be mad about Alabama getting in.
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 03:06 PM ET
My thoughts too.
EDGEMAN 12/11/25 01:27 PM ET
Given how the payout is currently structured, I don't blame any of the 10
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 01:29 PM ET
Yep. Manny Diaz' did his best coaching for Miami afterall.**
goodbadugly 12/11/25 12:39 PM ET
ESPN is the problem with college football the last 15 years.**
hokiedad25 12/11/25 12:36 PM ET
The network has taken a wrecking ball to sports greatest tradition for $$$**
gobbler1955 12/12/25 08:26 PM ET
Do you truly believe the other networks would act any different if they
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 01:35 PM ET
Nope**
hokiedad25 12/12/25 09:34 PM ET
So what you're saying is UVA was an incredibly poor representative
BuffaloTraceHokie 12/11/25 12:04 PM ET
Actually the ACC has had a poor representative (as a football conference)
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 12:17 PM ET
If you look at the history.....
2hhoop3 12/11/25 12:31 PM ET
Yes, but the audience has an attention span of a gnat so majority of them
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 12:47 PM ET
This is exactly right. UVA wins, Miami out.**
CrystalCoveHokie 12/11/25 11:57 AM ET
If ESPN wants the field to expand to whatever number it wants (24, 32, 64),
VTHokie2000 12/11/25 12:04 PM ET
32 would be best…..
CrystalCoveHokie 12/11/25 12:29 PM ET
Then in a few years after it will be expanded to 64
EDGEMAN 12/11/25 01:30 PM ET
Is that possible given the academies requires their students show up
