I think Pry's intent was to get the best and they reached out (VT was offering in the 1.5 million) for home run hire. (that was hard for Whit, but Pry got him to go for it home run hires. Well getting out there in the world, the bidding of these guys (Pry's peersl) and we are seeing the Home run candidates are getting matched for 1.7 to 2 million, and VT looks poor offering 1.5 million) Also I think Pry might have gone for a younger candidate, but I don't think Whit was comfortable for that. Whit wanted some older guys but they were still demanding as well. 1.5 million and these candidates are end in their career and dont want to recruit. (i.e. Allen now at Clemson). Or dont get the loser ex GT head coach and fired DC at UNC (who gave up 70 points to JMU. So Whit and Pry do not have a meeting on the minds. Quinn could be the compromise. However, this 'issue between football between Whit and the Football program is getting tired. Gawd if he had NIL in house, his indecisiveness would kill the program.
