Looking at portal players on V.C., and there's little talent available that
could keep VT out of the bottom 2-3 in the conference. Really embarrassing

CMY is done and will be retiring. He won't make the tourney nor even entertain an invite to the NIT. It's probably a waste of money if we're being candid. You can't build a team around Hammond and Hansberry. Might as well save up for the next coach. At least we're in good company with Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Wake.

#1 the majority of the portal movement won't happen until next week
#2 there will be players available who could absolutely help VT, but VT isnt going to be able to afford the amount of them necessary to make it anything other than a very difficult year to do anything of note

will likely be even worse talent-wise than this year, or all the piddly available NIL cash will be spent on keeping 3-4 standout players and get some new Pascha's from the portal? Just wondering WTH VT basketball could well be in 3-4 months.
Doesn't sound like a recipe for vigorous season ticket, or individual game ticket sales!!
