The team could have benefited from playing the NIT
Players have to do what's best for them, so let's get that out of the way Having more practices and gametime with the young core would have beneficial. The only missing piece would have been Hansberry. Hammond, Schutt, Johnson, Gurdak ( hypothetical Hansberry) got very limited time together. Seeing that group play well in the NIT would have been helpful for the donor group to be encouraged about next year. I worry the donations might not be enthusiastic after this years performance.

VT basketball should do what is best 4 VT basketball
If that is in conflict to players doing what is in their best interests so be it. Frankly VTMBB and VTAD first obligation is to the school, students , fanbase. At this point we should all be past the players best interest per se, when it comes to participation. If the team opts out of something it should be coming from above their level. Im okay with the decision, but the players shouldn't be the ones driving tge bus on it...period. ** Edited by Vippie1 at 3/14/2026, 11:29:22 AM

Players have been enticed to the Dark Side (or Farside)
Though greed darkens the administration side. Was there a middle Force group where fans can gather?
