The conference. And that's with key players out.

We’ve only made 1-2 in clutch situations lately though. That happens. Pressure is real

Cal isn’t great but they’re very good. Stanford is very good. UVA is very very (🤮) good. Wake is good. I’ve watched quite a few seasons of college basketball…in person, close up. I’m not sure I’ve seen this many GOOD talented teams in the sport. Lots of skilled European guys are now playing college ball. Paying players has absolutely raised overall talent level in college bball

. . . very far above it. CMY's challenge is to figure out how to change that. That challenge is complicated by the injuries. It appears that Neo and Tobi in particular are, at times, not feeling comfortable with what's going on.

I don't wear orange and maroon glasses every day like some do. I have watched VT basketball for over 50 years and have season tickets. I love Mike Young but am disappointed in how the team is playing. I've read many of your posts and you make some good points but don't have all the answers.
I hope I am wrong but, unless things change (and they might with the return of 2 more starters) I doubt we can finish in the top 5 of the ACC...which I was hoping for in the preseason.

First, Neo is just not as clutch as I expected him to be. He is unable to carry the team even for short periods of time.
Second, injuries.
That said we can still go 10-8 and get an NCAA bid.

an interesting question as to what are reasonable expectations for the VT basketball programs(both men and women)?

expectations and idea as to what is good is out of whack.
