“Catamounts are usually about six feet long, bobcats range from 24 to almost 40 inches in length, including the tail. Catamounts can weight up to 200 pounds, while bobcats usually weigh between 16 and 24 pounds.”
A 16 pound Bobcat is no threat unless you have a poodle.
You don’t want to run into a 200 pound cat (Catamount/Cougar). You could be lunch.

Significant damage. Though both are rare. So I wouldn't say a bobcat is no threat. I would keep my distance. A male bobcat can get up to 30 lb and about 4 ft long. I saw fairly large one few weeks ago, would not want to tangle with it.

Love me some jaguars. Baddest killers on the planet and absolutely gorgeous.
Even my little 12 pound female house cat kills snakes, squirrels, birds, and rabbits on the daily.

Favorite wild animals. Agree, jaguars are awesome, beautiful animal. Also love clouded leopards and snow leopards. As you point out, all cats, including house cats, are fantastic hunters. They can walk through the forest without making a sound.
