I know we shouldn't judge players on style, but Ben has a beautiful layup
Just a beautiful glide to the hoop, and I think he scores every time. I've seen too many people make a dash to the hoop and miss an easy layup.
It should be in the basketball "video handbook" of how to do a layup.

One dribble and layup, jumpers, or distribute with an inside outside look. He's not really great at one thing, he's just a good all around player.

That isn't bad, but when teams collapse, he must give it up. With his athletic talent he would have a mismatch vs a man defense everytime. This would force teams to double him, opening up a perimeter player.

So, I mean...we all agree he should be getting the starters minutes, right?

A PG must minimize turnovers. He is a TO machine tight now.

Rech 1.3 asst/ TO with 0.3 stl/ TO
Hammond 1 asst/ TO with 0.8 stl/ TO
So Hammond nearly negates his TO wirh steals not to mention far better overall on ball D. Sitting Courtside for all games the difference defensively betwen the two is stark. Hammond is a dog on D. Impressive for a Fr

The offense just seems leaden with Rech at the helm, more potent w/ Hammond

Every TO committed by Hammond is a shot not taken by better players on the team. He has committed the worst TO’s I have ever seen. That said, Rech is almost as bad.
Frankly neither player should be getting the majority of the mins at PG. If we had a real PG we would have won a few more games than we have.
When Hammond’s brain catches up with the game he will surpass Rech. I hope that happens sooner than later.

He'll make mistakes no doubt but you learn from it and get better.
