This is an NIT team that could go pretty far. Vegas in March sounds good.

Given Basile and Mutts are gone next year and maybe Catoor - not sure how much development could actually happen.
Wonder if players opt out of NIT like football players opt out of the non CFP bowls?

I will say that I've seen teams go very far in the NIT or win it all and come back the next year stronger. I would rather be in the NIT final four than be a first game exit in March Madness. Vegas makes that even more attractive.
It's clear to me that our team can beat quality opponents on a given night and lose to "inferior" opponents on a given night which screams NIT contender more than NCAA contender.

watch them make a deep run in the NIT than get a low seed in the NCAA tourney and get beat the first game. Last year, TAM and Xavier went to the final game and built on it this year and will both make the tourney with a chance to make it to the second weekend. Of course, I'd prefer us to run the table in the ACC tourney again, but I don't see us catching lightning in a bottle two years in a row.
