How is that moving around with the best of them. He coached for 3 years at WSU and the rest of his career at uva. I feel like he would be in the bottom 1% for moving around jobs for pretty much any profession in the world. He’s allowed to just not enjoy the state of the sport. He’s allowed to believe it’s not in a good place. It doesn’t mean it’s the only reason he’s leaving, but he said it’s a contributing factor. There is not way that anyone looks at college sports right now and thinks it’s super healthy. I don’t think anyone is totally in the wrong outside of the NCAA themselves. I believe you should have some kind of limit on transfers but also some type of limit on coaches in terms of constantly changing schools/jobs. I don’t know how you pull it off, but I think going to a system of 3 year contracts would be better. Just like a rookie deal. I think basketball as a product is better when teams play together more. Over time that is proven true in almost all sports. I would rather see teams with salary caps and singing a high school player for 3 years and knowing a team and fan base has more continuity. I think in the long run that keeps the interest higher. I believe the more invested a fan base is in seeing the group grow and win over multiple the more likely they are to spend money to support that team
