I always tried to avoid viewing players as commodities to be thrown about, used when needed, discarded when not needed. But with the totally open transfer rules, and the money that has gone into it with NIL, that's exactly how it's natural to view them. Some of that is not their fault, and some of it is. FWIW, for whatever reason, NIL amounts seem to have escalated quite a bit since last offseason throughout college basketball. Some guys getting mid-level deals this year would have been among the highest-paid players last year. But again, as I've warned on the TSL Pass board and in articles, that isn't guaranteed money, and many times the player doesn't end up getting all of it, which makes him feel like he's been lied to, so boom, right back to the portal. The whole thing needs regulation big time. By the way, speaking of Pedulla, he recently visited Creighton I believe. I'd guess that's his other option after Oklahoma. Kentucky does seem to be a legit option, though obviously he wouldn't be guaranteed a starting role there.
