Good points. This team clearly needs to handle the press better.
Coach Young's normal approach of relying heavily on the PG to break the press is not working as well this year as previous years, due to limited experience (and maybe capability) at PG. So, to your point, trying something different to get into our offensive sets quickly and efficiently makes sense.
Trying to speed-up getting the ball to the basket is a classic way to break the press. With this team, that approach seems like a recipe for even more TOs.
