Are two separate conversations. He could be suspended from the team and not have university/NIL deal repercussions. It all depends on what the team rules are, if they are clearly defined and im sure there will be input from the other captains. My own personal viewpoint is that if he would be suspended if VT was playing Wofford this week, then he should be suspended if VT is playing South Carolina. I dont think I would be out of line in thinking most would be ok with him being suspended against a much inferior team. So, to me, he probably needs to sit. But I also am not in that locker room every day. I dont know their team rules and I dont have context. Im ok with whatever they do as long as they dont carve out something specific just for south carolina
