Exccuse me, VT graduates in engineering and computer science are doing good
Many of our graduates are starting very well and are leading corporations, (but they leave SWVA) Most go to Major metropolitan areas where the high technology jobs are concentrated. They are not single practice folks like attorneys or doctors.
When you make 7 figures, so many opportunties for investment come your way. In the PAST, VT has been doing a terrible job outreaching to these folks with the level of $$$. VT Development has done very good. THey have trained experts in fund raising to corporations and single donors, Also, just like football, everything has to be first class in appearance and presentation. If you are fund raising to someone who you want to give seven figures, you dont have someone like a student intern, or someone just out of college, to make the case. (gives the appearance of rinky dink and not worth placing dollars to the cause.
