It's only a problem at the beginning of the year

The positives of what the offense brings makes the end product worth the growing pains on the front end What they should be doing to adjust to the OTT/NIL era is schedule easy wins for the first 10 or so games and use them as teaching moments. Schedule tougher teams as scrimmages that don't count to take the temperature of the team. Try and focus on being close to a complete team in late December where refinement is needed and not necessarily more teaching. Hopefully by that point you're 10-0 rather than 7-3 even if the SOS is low
