That's not really the focus of the offense...

But should be a byproduct of it if it run well The offense is designed to stretch and attack with movement, misdirection and counters If you don't know when to move, what you're trying to do with the misdirection and haven't put in the counters yet then the defense will not be stretched. If the defense isn't stretched then you won't have any driving lanes. Which means you won't be able to drive. VT didn't drive because it isn't a focal point and haven't done what it takes to clear those lanes.
