Adapt AND get left behind (FTFY)

The vast majority can adapt all they want, they don't and won't have the resources to compete. There is a reason professional sports leagues have tampering rules, standard contracts, revenue sharing models, etc. They understand that a franchise that has no ability to compete is lost opportunity and too many bring down interest in the whole product. I've been teetering on the edge of interest the last few years. When we have a good team, I'll keep up with them, watch a few games, etc. But when we don't, I just don't care. I watched maybe 2 regular season CFB games and our bowl game live this year and maybe one basketball game until Thu/Fri of the NCAAT. Didn't watch a game after that in either sport. The last month has put me over the edge. I'm basically out. We know how this ends, with Pry either gone to a P2 job or staying because we're a mediocre, middle pack team. We're not going to lose MY, because he's mediocre, and that's pretty much the best we can hope for, a mediocre coach that isn't too successful regularly so that someone steals him/her. Screw that. College sports just landed on my pay no mind list with the NFL and NBA.

The faster fans tune out, the better. The entire thing is stupid, IMO.
