Terrence Shannon was ultimately found not guilty after he left Illinois but did Illinois not vet him? I'm sure he told everyone who asked he didn't do it. If you're of the opinion this is the first time a coach took a chance on a player because the potential of their talent outweighed their potential for dismissal then welcome to college athletics, I guess
