Respectfully, anybody complaining about VT’s bracket/seed
needs to quit complaining. It’s all settled on the diamond. I can’t remember very many times we have qualified. Sit back and enjoy the fact we are in!

ideal as they are the #1 overall seed but the good news is that the other two teams in the regional aren't particularly great as Cal Poly is rated in the 70's and 80's across RPI/KPI/DSR and St. Mary's is basically outside the top 125.
We shouldn't have a problem at least splitting with those two teams so it will come down to whether we can pull off an upset against UCLA. That is a really tall task but in a one game setting with potentially Renfrow on the mound, I suppose anything is possible.

If you come out of the elimination bracket, winning 2 games on Sunday is extremely difficult.

Getting through the regional will likely involve beating UCLA twice which will be extremely challenging.

I think VT was likely the last #2 seed so that is why they are going to UCLA. I will be tough getting out of that region but the 3-seed in that region (Cal Poly) is not a strong 3 (RPI of 74 and DSR of 79).
