For as disappointing as this season has been, we are currently 9th...
in the ACC in conference win percentage. It doesn't mean much and doesn't position us for an NCAA tournament birth but despite the team's flaws, they have been competitive in most ACC series having not been swept thus far and are a one run loss to BC and an extra inning loss to Stanford from being 11-10 in the ACC and 4-3 in ACC series. Looking at the rest of the schedule, we have NC State and Clemson at home and California on the road. All three are quality teams but none of them are juggernauts this year with none of them being over .500 in ACC play and both Clemson and California are 6-12 in conference play.

We have the arms, although most have been disappointing to this point
but the talent on the mound is there to make a late season turn-around. Definitely 6-7 pitchers on our roster who will be drafted at some point. Some of the issue is just terrible in-game coaching decisions though, like pulling the hot reliever consistently, which usually leads to disaster.

No UNC or Florida State on the sched
Not saying we will win anymore series but it's not death row we are facing.

You know, other than having the 3rd or 5th hardest schedule in the country
