The Goal is Progress each Week
The goal each week is to get better and better. I feel like the Hokies were much improved after winning the series the weekend before against a tough Charlotte club. It’s always nice to get a sweep and look good doing it.
Starting Pitching - B
Standout - Griffin Stieg
Bullpen - B
Standout - Manning, Buckler and Shoemaker
Defense - A
Standout - Everyone - 1 Error in 27 innings
Hitting - B+
Standout - Ben Watson 7-13 8 RBIs 1 🔨, Michel 5-10 5 RBIs, 2 🔨 Martin 7-12 2 rbis, McCann 3-6 5 RBIs 1 🔨
Hopefully, we can get a little better each week before getting into ACC play. Good team coming to Blacksburg this weekend in Stony Brook. Lets keep the momentum rolling.

not a great record but beating the #2 team/defending champion at their place isn't too shabby

Cannizarro, that's pretty good. We know those two guys can hit. I'm liking the bats up and down the lineup this year so far.

That alone could really help this lineup in conf. We know he can hit OOC pitching. Also, if we continue to get production out of the Ebel/Cooke spot, then we can afford some growing pains with pitching.
