after our L to OK, i wasn't sure i'd watch any world series games. but
i've ended up watching every game and have actually enjoyed the games more than i thought i would. it sucks that we fell a game short, but i love college baseball and it's the world series and some more good baseball. hopefully we make it there before too long.

Other than the relief pitcher (99) who can be obnoxious, I like this OU team. Surprised at anyone who was badmouthing our team or woe-is-me’ng when we lost to them. It stunk, but it’s not due to a curse, we just ran into a hot club. It happens. Go Hokies!

The wife is so over baseball because it's been on the TV 4 days a week for 3-4 months (compared to 2x/week for basketball and once a week for football). It's been a bucket list trip to go to Omaha and I was ready to be poor from the costs of planning something 5 days in advance. The announcers are saying the environment there is just really cool so I'll probably wait it out for a Hokie qualification but if I hit 60 before they do, I think it'll be time to just go no matter which teams are there.

The same here. I'm pulling for Oklahoma now.
The Vegas odds makers had them the least likely to win the CWS, yet they are 2-0 right now. Tech and Florida caught OU at the wrong time of the season. They are playing their best baseball right now.

one where stanford exited without winning a game. that's pretty impressive. but i'm not too broken up about them and texas heading home.
i'd never heard the quip they used a few minutes ago, talking about stanford & texas being sent home............"0-2 and a bar-b-que"...............
