D1 Baseball came out with their preseason rankings today. VT checked in at
No. 14. I think that's a little generous this early with what we lost, but we'll see. I know there will be other polls, but this is the first one I've seen come out.

Wake is returning a lot of its lineup from last season and the ACC pitcher of the year. They should be pretty good. But again, it’s baseball and it’s so random sometimes.

the best team ever in MLB lost 50 games. A game of streaks and seeing eye singles, half a ball off the plate and wall climbing saves. I grew up a football fan, but baseball became my true passion as I coached and understood it more. Plus the rebirth of spring and all that...

Something along the lines of "you win 1/3 of your games, and you lose 1/3 of your games, and it's what you do with the other third that determines your playoff future."
