I wonder if Michigan stole Rutgers bid....
Rutgers was firmly in the field according to the commentators on the B1G baseball championship game between Michigan and Rutgers. It could have been that the decision was made to put Rutgers in the Louisville regional before or during that game being played and then when Michigan won they replaced Rutgers with Michigan because it was the easiest fix.
