Academics center for any teams visiting CA to play the Northern California teams. Try this 1-2x with an ACC team. Team travels to Santa Clara several days before Saturday game at Stan or cal. Practices and lives and studies at SF facility before / during an SF away game weekend. Then team stays there for several days prepping for Thursday night game at other northern cal school. Then team departs on Friday (or even overnight Thursday if that saves the team $$$?) SF gets early looks on potentially 1500 college players practicing at their facilities. SF uses the relationships to bolster EOY bowl game facilities marketing as well. Get wealthy CA to throw in a few bucks from their tourism marketing. Try it for 1-2 years and see if it makes more sense to do it that way, or to send teams out willy nilly for 1 random game over 2-3 years (which scenario is less expensive / less taxing on the “student athletes” / what increases nil $$$ for the athletes- going to CA for a week or going there 1-2x over 4 years?) was pretty interesting. We had some head on head races, simulating different cars on different tracks (Laguna Seca was a Mazda vs. an F1 for a European track). Was a workout. Sim / haptic / breaking performance was realistic- screen imagery was kind of cartoonish. Looking back, for the cost, I’d expect the (in game) track visuals to be more realistic. But overall it was interesting. Other people there were really, really into F1 racing (including friends). I don’t follow the sport as closely. I was in mex city recently and they just had the F1 race there in June. City was plastered with Brad Pitt posters. Cannot imagine where they’d race- Mex city streets suck for traffic, and there are so many protests going on it gets insane trying to get across town for meetings, etc. because there’s always something shutting down the roads.
