Would be a good get if ACC/ESPN could grab
Stanford, Cal, Washington, Oregon and one more of (Arizona/Utah). That's at least 5 West Coast teams that forms their own pod/group. $$$$$ would have to be right for all parties involved of course! Keeps the ACC in the P3 conversation

Would love to see the ACC add Cincy, WVU and to
jump into that Texas market somehow! ESPN could make it happen without a doubt!

...but they are already members of the ACC for all other sports, correct?
Wouldn't that stipulation just be for football membership?

What ever happened to the so called "clause" in this whole GOR/contracts
etc.... stipulating that if "ND ever joins a conference for football, it had to be the ACC"? At least until 2036. Is that still a thing?

Actually interested if anyone here has an answer to this question...
What keeps VT from AAU status? Is it research $$$ invested? Is there an application process for AAU membership?

I feel like this all comes down to ESPN/Disney. Am I wrong?
If the media controls all of this (which they do)...then ESPN/Disney/ABC/(whoever) can make or break these conferences! If the ACC is to survive, ESPN will have to figure out that plan. To me, to be the 3rd best conference, will take exactly what you are suggesting. A 20-24 team ACC.
Do I like it....NO! But it really is all about survival at this point.

Could ESPN pay out $65-75 mil per school if
the ACC ended up with ND, Oregon, Washington, Stanford and maybe one from the Texas market?
Texas Tech, Baylor, Houston or SMU?

True, I donβt expect the ACC or any other conference will reach what the
P2 will get in revenue BUT, an ACC with those schools I named added to the current membersβ¦.I would at least think somewhere around the $65-70 (perhaps this is a low number) million per year. That would solidify the conference as the 3rd strongest

I propose this option for the ACC to survive and be a major player in
the future of collegiate athletics
The ACC should add 6 to get to 20 members. Those being:
ND, WVU, Kansas, Stanford, Oregon, Washington. Maybe trade one of the west coast schools for a Texas option.
Heckβ¦.make it a 24 team conference! Add to those 6β¦β¦Baylor, Houston, BYU, Cincinnati
That has got to be worth a few $million$ More per school!

I could see GT in the BIG before Pitt! BIG already has Penn State.
BIG would be wise to get into the Atlanta t.v. market
